Ján Ballx (*1973 in CSSR) studied medicine in Brno, as a psychiatrist worked in state and private sector in Nitra, Bratislava and London. Since 2008 he leads own private practice in Bratislava. He teaches psychiatry and psychotherapy as a supervisor, is a lector at Gestalt Studia Institute in Czechia, is active in research with interest in fields of neuropsychiatry and psychotherapy. For a long time he has worked as a board member of Slovak Psychotherapeutic Society, to this day he is actively involved in international psychotherapy community. He is an artist, he paints and exhibits professionally. 1998 – 2004 he directed the Society for Information Development and Information Technology (SPIRIT) and the project Subterra. In 2008 he founded in Slovakia a first of its kind psychiatric private practice – psychoterapia *. 2012 – 2016 he was a founder and president of SAGT (Slovak Association for Gestalt Therapy). Since childhood he has been passionate about technology and he still believes also in humanity. He is married and a father of two children.
